# CONFIG_INVALID_EXPORT

The configuration file's default export is not a configuration object.

## Cause

The configuration file's default export is not a configuration object.

The CLI reads the configuration from the file's default export. A file with no default export, or one that exports a function or a value of another kind, gives it nothing to read.

## Fix

End `nextly.config.ts` with a default export of the configuration:

```ts
import { defineConfig } from "nextly/config";
export default defineConfig({
  collections: [],
});
```

## Example

```text
✗ `nextly.config.ts` does not export a configuration.
  Why:  Its default export is undefined, not the object `defineConfig` returns.
  Next: End the file with `export default defineConfig({ … })`.
