# CORE_TABLES_NOT_RECONCILED

The database's existing core tables could not be brought up to date before the sync.

## Cause

The database's existing core tables could not be brought up to date before the sync.

Before a sync, `nextly db:sync` brings an existing database's system tables up to date with the version of Nextly installed, adding the ones it introduced since. That step failed, so the sync did not run.

## Fix

* Run `nextly migrate` to repair the schema, then run `nextly db:sync` again.
* Run `nextly db:sync --verbose` to see the statement that failed.

## Example

```text
✗ Core tables could not be reconciled.
  Why:  Creating the system tables this version of Nextly adds failed on the existing database; `--verbose` shows the statement that failed.
  Next: Run `nextly migrate` to repair the schema before syncing.
