# DATA_LOSS_CONSENT_REQUIRED

The command would delete data, no consent covers it, and no terminal is attached to ask.

## Cause

The command would delete data, no consent covers it, and no terminal is attached to ask.

A command that deletes data (a table, a column, or the rows in them) asks first. With no terminal to ask, as in CI or a script, it needs the data-loss consent instead, and without it nothing changes. The Why line lists what would be deleted.

## Fix

Give the consent the Next line names: `--accept-data-loss` with the targets listed, or `NEXTLY_ACCEPT_DATA_LOSS` in the environment. Or run the command in a terminal, where it lists the deletions and asks.

## Example

```text
✗ Deleting data needs consent, and no terminal is attached to ask.
  Why:  This would delete:
        - column dc_posts.summary (42 non-empty values)
        Nothing was changed.
  Next: To consent: --accept-data-loss=dc_posts.summary (or NEXTLY_ACCEPT_DATA_LOSS=dc_posts.summary).
