# MEDIA_CONFIG_OUTSIDE_PROJECT

`nextly media orphans --apply` was given a configuration from outside the project, whose storage may be another project's.

## Cause

`nextly media orphans --apply` was given a configuration from outside the project, whose storage may be another project's.

`--apply` compares the media storage the config names with the media table in the project's database. A config outside the project, given with `--config` or linked from it, may name another project's storage, whose files would all read as left behind. Nothing was changed.

## Fix

* Run the command from the project that config belongs to.
* Or pass `--config` a configuration inside the project `--cwd` names.

## Example

```text
✗ Nothing was changed: the config ../other-project/nextly.config.ts is outside /home/you/app.
  Why:  /home/you/app's database settings would be read, so the config's storage may be another project's.
  Next: Run the command from that config's project to remove files.
