# MEDIA_THUMBNAILS_NOT_REMOVED

Some left-behind thumbnails could not be removed, or could not be checked just before their removal.

## Cause

Some left-behind thumbnails could not be removed, or could not be checked just before their removal.

With `--apply`, each listed thumbnail is checked against the media table again just before it is removed. Some were left: the storage refused to remove them, or the check before removal could not be made. The Why line names each.

## Fix

* Read the reason the Why line gives for each file: a storage permission is the usual cause.
* Run `nextly media orphans --apply` again to list and remove what is left.
