# PLUGIN_DOCUMENT_SURFACE_INVALID

A plugin overrides a document action it may not override, or declares a document action override or panel section with nothing to draw.

## Cause

A plugin overrides a document action it may not override, or declares a document action override or panel section with nothing to draw.

A plugin may hide or replace only the `delete` and `unpublish` actions of a collection's document screen. A replacement needs a component to open, and a label of text if it has one; a section added to the document panel needs a title and a component. The message names the override or section and what is wrong with it.

## Fix

* Correct the override or section the message names in the plugin's `contributes.admin.views`.
* If the plugin is not yours, update it to a release that declares it correctly.
