# PLUGIN_MIGRATION_MODULE_EXISTS

`nextly migrate:create --plugin` would write a migration module where one already exists, so it wrote nothing.

## Cause

`nextly migrate:create --plugin` would write a migration module where one already exists, so it wrote nothing.

`nextly migrate:create --plugin` never overwrites an existing module: it may already have run on a database, and its checksum is recorded there.

## Fix

Run the command again so it writes a module with a new name, or remove the existing file if it has never been applied anywhere.

## Example

```text
✗ A migration module already exists at src/migrations/0003_add_redirects.ts, and it was left as it is.
  Why:  An existing module is never overwritten: it may already have run on a database.
  Next: Run the command again for a module with a new name.
