# PLUGIN_SCHEMA_VERSION_MISSING

The plugin given to `--plugin` declares no `schemaVersion`, which its migrations are numbered by.

## Cause

The plugin given to `--plugin` declares no `schemaVersion`, which its migrations are numbered by.

A plugin's migrations are numbered by its `schemaVersion`, which the ledger records for each installation. A plugin without one cannot have migrations generated for it.

## Fix

Add `schemaVersion: 1` to the plugin's definition, then run `nextly migrate:create --plugin <entry>` again.

## Example

```text
✗ Plugin "@acme/seo" declares no schemaVersion.
  Why:  A plugin needs one before migrations can be generated for it.
  Next: Add `schemaVersion: 1` to the plugin's definition, then run the command again.
