# PLUGIN_SCHEMA_VERSION_NOT_ADVANCED

A plugin's declared `schemaVersion` does not move past the one on its last migration.

## Cause

A plugin's declared `schemaVersion` does not move past the one on its last migration.

The runner takes a plugin's schema version from its last migration. A new migration that changes the schema must declare a higher `schemaVersion` than the one before it, and a blank one may not fall behind it.

## Fix

* Raise `schemaVersion` in the plugin's definition as the Next line says, then generate the migration again.

## Example

```text
✗ The plugin's schemaVersion must move past 3 before new migrations can be generated (it is 3).
  Why:  The runner takes a plugin's schema version from its last migration, so a new migration that changes the schema must declare a higher one.
  Next: Raise `schemaVersion` in `@acme/seo` above 3, then generate the migration again.
