# POSTGRES_SCHEMA_MISMATCH

`db.postgres.schema` and the database adapter's schema option name different PostgreSQL schemas.

## Cause

`db.postgres.schema` and the database adapter's schema option name different PostgreSQL schemas.

The schema in `nextly.config.ts` and the schema the database adapter connects with must be the same one: otherwise tables are created in one and migrations recorded in the other. The Why line says which side names which.

## Fix

* Do the edit the Next line names: give the adapter the schema `db.postgres.schema` names, or change `db.postgres.schema` to the adapter's.
* Leaving both unset uses `public` on both sides.

## Example

```text
✗ db.postgres.schema is not set (so "public"), but the database adapter passed to Nextly uses schema "tenant_a".
  Why:  Both must name the same schema, or tables and migrations end up split between them.
  Next: To fix it, create the adapter without a schema option, or set db.postgres.schema to "tenant_a".
