# RECORD_SNAPSHOT_NEEDS_APP_MIGRATION

`--record-snapshot` was given to `nextly migrate:create` with `--blank` or `--plugin`, which write no snapshot of the app.

## Cause

`--record-snapshot` was given to `nextly migrate:create` with `--blank` or `--plugin`, which write no snapshot of the app.

`--record-snapshot` writes a migration that changes nothing and the app's snapshot, which records which fields are translated. A blank migration you write yourself, and a plugin's migration module, come with no snapshot of the app to record them in.

## Fix

Run it on its own:

```bash
npx nextly migrate:create --record-snapshot
```
