# WIDGET_GENERATE_CANCELLED

A prompt of `nextly generate:widget` was cancelled, so it wrote no widget.

## Cause

A prompt of `nextly generate:widget` was cancelled, so it wrote no widget.

On a terminal, `nextly generate:widget` asks for what its arguments and flags leave out: the widget's name, how it shows its data, and whether it reads from a collection. Closing one of those prompts, for example with Ctrl+C, stops the command before it writes any file or edits any list of widgets.

## Fix

Run `nextly generate:widget` again and answer each prompt, or give the answers up front, as in `nextly generate:widget open-orders --view list --collection`, so it asks nothing. `--no-collection` answers no to the collection prompt.
