BLOCK_SCHEMA_DERIVATION_FAILED
The block document schema could not be derived, because something in the process extended `Object.prototype`.
Cause
The block document schema could not be derived, because something in the process extended Object.prototype.
The block document schema is derived from Nextly's own definition of the format. When something in the process has added properties to Object.prototype, the derivation loses the block node's fields, and Nextly refuses to emit a schema that would accept malformed documents.
Fix
- Find the code that adds properties to
Object.prototype, often a dependency, and remove or update it. --verboseshows the stack where the schema was derived.
Example
✗ The block document schema could not be derived, so it was not emitted.
Why: Object.prototype has been extended; zod's registry reads `id` off the object given to .meta(), so the emitted schema loses the node's fields and would describe a format that accepts malformed nodes.
Next: Find the code that adds properties to `Object.prototype`, often a dependency, and remove it; `--verbose` shows where the schema was derived.
