PLUGIN_MIGRATION_SQL_MISSING

A plugin migration changes the schema on this database's dialect and has no statements for it.

Cause

A plugin migration changes the schema on this database's dialect and has no statements for it.

A migration written for its author's SQL, such as one from nextly migrate:create --plugin <entry> --blank, runs only the statements it is given. This one records a schema change on the database's dialect and has no statements for it, so running it would record a change it never made. Nothing was applied.

Fix

  • As the plugin's author, write the module's up and down for the dialect named, then run nextly migrate again.

Example

✗ Plugin "@acme/seo" migration 20261020_120000_add_redirects changes the schema on sqlite but has no sqlite statements, so running it would record a change it never made.
Why: A module written for its author's SQL, such as one from `nextly migrate:create --plugin <entry> --blank`, runs only the statements it is given. Nothing was applied.
Next: Write the module's sqlite `up` and `down` in the plugin, then run `nextly migrate` again.
