PLUGIN_MIGRATIONS_OUT_OF_ORDER

A plugin lists its migrations in an order other than the order of their names.

Cause

A plugin lists its migrations in an order other than the order of their names.

A plugin's migrations run in the order of their names, and every reader of them uses that order. A list declared in another order would run in an order its author never wrote, so it is refused rather than sorted in silence. Nothing was applied.

Fix

  • As the plugin's author, list its migrations in the order of their names, the order nextly migrate:create --plugin <entry> writes them in.

Example

✗ Plugin "@acme/seo" lists its migration "20261019_090000_add_index" after "20261020_120000_add_redirects", but its migrations run in the order of their names, so "20261019_090000_add_index" runs first.
Why: Every reader of a plugin's migrations runs them by name, so a list in another order is refused rather than sorted in silence. Nothing was applied.
Next: List the plugin's migrations in the order of their names (the order `nextly migrate:create --plugin` writes them in).
